I've been waiting my whole life to visit the Amazon Rainforest. Yes, it gets hot and when it's not hot it's rainy and despite the weather conditions, the mosquitos will be trying to suck your blood. Don't just tolerate the conditions, embrace them! We did 2 nights at collpas inn. We weren't that thrilled about our time here. The jungle felt different, was wilder and had more wildlife. The staff was far more professional and while the food was MAGNIFICIENT. Your experience really puts you in the THICK of a jungle experience but with the comfort of knowing you get to go back to a nice bed (and drinks!). We were also very impressed with our guides at this lodge, primarily Jesus who was passionate and knowledgeable about his work. The night walks were amazing and we encourage everyone to go out each night they are at the lodge.
