1. Machu Picchu

This iconic archaeological site not only offers mesmerizing historical wonders but is also known for its diverse birdlife. With its varied habitats and altitudes.  Machu Picchu attracts a wide range of bird species, including the Inca Wren.

Wattled Guan, Tricolored Brushfinch, Cuzco Brushfinch, Cerulean Warbler, Long-tailed Sylph, Green Jay.  Superciliaried Hemispingus, Ocellated Piculet, Slaty Tanager, Stripe-faced Wood-Quail.

Cinnamon-faced TyrannuletSlaty Gnateater, Scaled Antpitta, Amazonian Umbrellabird, Cuzco Warbler, Sharpbill, Versicolored Barbet, and the Majestic Andean Cock-of-the-rock that has a LEK in the vicinity of the archeological site.

3. Vitcos – Rosaspata

This enchanting location is home to a remarkable diversity of bird species. Ebird records indicate frequent sightings of colorful species; Creamy-crested Spinetail, Inca Wren, Cuzco Brushfinch, Rufous-chested Tanager, Inca Wren.

Fawn-breasted Tanager, Scaled Metaltail, Red-crested Cotinga, Yellow-scarfed Tanager, Vilcabamba Tapaculo, Vilcabamba Thistletail, Johnson’s Tody-Flycatcher, among other interesting birds.
